I have serious wanderlust right now, y’all! I have so many places on my travel bucket list that I would love to visit – Paris, Amsterdam, Ireland, Australia, Greece, Toronto….I could go on and on. Maybe one day I’ll do a big European adventure to see a lot of these places on my list, but until then I can pretend I’m traveling there by wearing outfits that I would be sure to pack with me. When I first got my hands on this dress, I immediately fell in love with the color and how soft the cotton fabric is. If you’ve been around SGSB for awhile, you probably know my other requirement for most clothing items – comfort. This dress is one of those perfect throw and go dresses that I can wear almost any day and feel chic while I still feel like I am wearing PJs (and who doesn’t want to wear comfortable PJs all day?!?)! hehe!
Since the dress is a solid color, I thought it would be fun to pair it with a printed sneaker. I’m a huge fan of Rifle Paper Co. and couldn’t resist ordering one of the pairs from their collaboration with Keds! I’ll be completely honest, I was never a huge sneaker/tennis shoes girl. I mean, I wore them to work out in or to run errands while in my workout clothes, but I never dressed them up. But, y’all this year I have been OBSESSED with the trend (evidence here, here and here) and can’t wait to add more sneakers to my closet and continue to style them with some of my favorite summer pieces.
I also decided to add this new hat which I picked up at Nordstrom before my trip to Mexico, a few months ago, to the outfit to help block out the sun as I stroll through the streets of
Europe Houston. And I couldn’t forget to add a great pair of budget-friendly sunnies and a purse that can be converted to a crossbody bag and large enough to fit the essentials (i.e., chapstick, wallet, bottle of water, etc.), but small enough to ensure I don’t overload it with junk! 😀 I thought that after wearing and sharing this outfit, it would help to limit my wanderlust – but no such luck. I actually think I’ve increased my urge to travel. If you need me for the next few hours, I’ll be scouring the travel sites for some deals on trips to Europe.
I would love to hear your travel bucket list and what your packing essentials would be in the comments below! Have a fantastic week and be sure to check back here for a fun link-up on Thursday!
