It is hard to believe that it has been a month since I have been in NYC! These past few weeks have felt like a roller coaster going at 100 miles per hour and it’s hard to believe we are already half way through July – before I know it, Christmas will be here…
Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to go to NYC multiple times for both fun and work and this last trip was more of a fun business trip filled with lots of great events related to curvy fashion and meeting other fabulous blogger babes! So, let’s just say packing for this trip took FOREVER because I wanted to make sure I was packing some fabulous outfits that could be worn multiple ways so I was not over-packing with a ton of items (side note: I still over packed a few items, but at least I didn’t have to pay extra baggage fees for my suitcase being overweight).
Ok….so, let’s talk about this Melissa McCarthy Seven7 floral top! It is gorgeous – I love the colors and bold print (y’all know I’m a sucker for bold colors and prints….it is so hard to resist something when it is just this gorgeous)! And I love that it can be worn in multiple ways – the top buttons in the front and had buttons on each of the side seams so you can tie it in the front, like I have, or you can tie the sides together or wear it as a traditional button down. So many possibilities…. 😀 I also love this top because it is thin enough to be layered or worn by itself. And because this top is so versatile, it can be worn to a variety of functions – shopping, brunches, dinners, the theater…you name it!
The rest of this outfit was filled with my essentials that could go with most of my outfits – These trusty pair of capris were great because they instantly add a bit of edge to any outfit because of the distressing, my black Kendra Scott Rayne necklace adds a bit of glam and can go easily from day to night, my Rebecca Minkoff purse is the perfect size to hold all of my essentials and last but not least, my Tieks are my shoes to conquer the world – they are comfortable while still looking amazing and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Being able to wear my clothes and accessories in multiple ways and for all different types of occasions is so important when I travel because it helps me to streamline the amount of clothes I bring along while still looking fashionable.
