Have you ever had an item that you didn’t buy, for whatever reason, and it has haunted you for the rest of your life? Ok, it’s a little exaggerated, but I still am super disappointed that I did not add the Wright Dress to my closet years ago. I actually have a Google Alert on for it, so it may one day the seersucker airplane dress will be mine! Until then, this skirt is holding it’s place in my closet….just kidding. Seriously, I love this skirt! This skirt is extremely comfortable, adorable and I love being able to spin around in it….I paired it with a navy and white stripped tee that I picked up on super-sale at Anthropologie last year. And one of my favorite and most comfortable parts of this outfit are my Tieks. I am obsessed with Tieks – they are extremely comfortable and are easy to pack because they fold in half. I will say they are some of the most expensive shoes I have ever owned, but are perfect for all of my time on the road.
I wore this outfit this past weekend to a NARS event at Saks Fifth Ave where we learned about some of the newest products and was able to meet a global makeup artist that has worked with some great celebrities. Because I was going to be walking all over the Galleria afterwards, I wanted to be comfortable and cute! This outfit met all of the criteria! Otherwise, my weekend was pretty quiet and relaxing – just what I needed. I am heading out to my friend’s wedding this week and it was nice to be able to get a few things done this weekend to prepare!
Have you ever experienced regrets over not buying something? I would love to hear about it in the comments!
P.S. On a more serious note, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of the people affected by the earthquake in Nepal. As much as I joke about my fashion regrets, this earthquake is a catastrophic reminder of how lucky I am to be able to love fashion and share it with you all here.
