It all starts with a good foundation

Depending on my mood, where I am going, the weather and the amount of time I have, I use various products. When purchasing a foundation, I am always looking for something with medium coverage and a tone that blends easily with my skin tone. Since starting work last year, I have really simplified my routine and need long-lasting, natural looking foundation. I have four go-to foundations in my makeup collection today.
First, is the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Foundation. I have used this product for years, but the re-formulated product is a vast improvement from its previous counterpart. This foundation gives me a radiant glow while looking natural and has been my go-to when getting ready for a night out.
The second foundation I have been obsessing over is the Smashbox Liquid Halo. I have to admit, I didn’t chose this product right off the shelf, but I love it!! On a trip to Sephora, I was interested in trying the Color|Pantone system to match my foundation. This tool is amazing. It looked at multiple areas on my skin and recommended products based on my color and skins type. The sales associate was also able to sort the recommendations by my favorite brands. So, the Liquid Halo was a perfect match for my medium skin tone. I find that this foundation is extremely hydrating and will last for hours. If you have ever tried the Smashbox Halo Powder, this foundation uses the same technology, but I would argue is 100 times better!
The newest foundation in my collection is the Marc Jacobs gel based foundation. I love this product for a night out because it gives me a dewy look in one step. I usually don’t wear this on a regular basis because it is not as long lasting as other formulas and, depending on your budget, can be pricy.
And finally, my recent choice for daily foundation is the Benefit Hello Oxygen foundation. This foundation is extremely moisturizing and feels like I am not wearing anything, but the coverage is amazing. I can go most of the day without reapplying this foundation and still feel covered.
Since my Benefit is almost gone, I’m in the market for a new daily foundation. What do you recommend?
