Hey y’all!! I hope you had a fantastic Memorial Day with your friends and family! I wanted to express my gratitude to all of those who have served our country to allow my all of the freedoms I am afforded!! And to all those loved ones of service men and women, who also make extreme sacrifices, thank you!

As I am writing this, I am in the Houston airport going on 4 hours now…my flight for work has been delayed for 3 hours and we aren’t quite sure of the status….will it be cancelled or will we be getting to our destination in the wee hours of the morn’…. to keep my mind off of all of this craziness, I figured I would re-cap what I wore this Memorial Day weekend.

To be completely honest, my weekend was extremely laid back – exactly what I needed….I got my booty kicked at spin class on Saturday and celebrated my friend C’s birthday that evening with some margaritas. On Sunday, I went to see Newsies at the Hobby Center! Wow! Those boys can dance! The set was fantastic and the performance was so high energy, it was hard not to have fun! You guys have probably seen here or on Instagram my love for Broadway musicals – it all started with Cats when I was 10 years old. My Mom purchased the VHS for me to watch and I was hooked….then I did a few summer theater camps, saw Beauty and the Beast and Lion King and my life long passion was instilled. My parents and I have season tickets to the Broadway series and I love being able to spend that time with them!! Then, today, Memorial Day, I was pretty lazy – I enjoyed the sunny weather (it really was a beautiful day up until about 7PM)….had lunch with my friend A (she’s nothing like Pretty Little Liars, I promise)! Then I headed back home, packed up and headed to the airport….which leads us to now. So, to be 100% truthful – I am not wearing my red, white and blue now, which I am pretty glad about. I am in a comfy sweater and my jeans….warm and comfortable – the best way to travel.

But, I did sport this outfit during the day yesterday to celebrate the holiday weekend. This dress from L.L. Bean is one of my favorite grab and go dresses. It is pretty comfortable and looks pulled together. I added my simple, bow necklace and Kendra Earrings to add some jewels, but I wanted my red shoes and clutch to be the main focus! I am obsessed with these shoes! They are the most comfortable pair of flats I have ever owned – I am currently working on saving up to buy another color. What do you thinkย  – should I get the pink or teal? I will admit, they are on the pricier side, but I wear my black ones almost every day to work, so, to me, the price per wear is pretty great! And with my bad feet, they have been a life-saver….my feet don’t hurt nearly as much as they do in other flats!

I hope you had a great extended weekend! Happy 4-day week!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Red Tory Burch clutchKendra Scott earrings gold bow necklace May 201 054Cardinal Red Tieks

Great look, I love that bright Tory clutch, so pretty. But then I love anything Tory. Both the teal and pink Tieks sound great. One of each maybe??? A good friend of mine just bought a pair of California navy Tieks and he said he would let me try them on. I can’t wait to see how they compare to my Tory flats.

Great look and post, thanks for sharing it. ๐Ÿ™‚
