Happy Monday, friends! I hope you’re weekend was absolutely enjoyable and allowed you to recharge! I spent a lot of time working on some upcoming blog posts, which I hope you all love. Please make sure to scroll to the end of the blog post to fill out my reader survey. I would love to get your feedback on SGSB and understand what types of posts you’re loving and what you want to see more of – this feedback is going to help me to focus my one million different passions that I want to share with all of you into posts that will be beneficial to you and, ultimately, be what you want to read. Plus, if that wasn’t more of an incentive, I’ll also be giving away 2 – $50 Amazon gift cards to individuals who complete the survey.
Another thing I worked a lot on this weekend was to organize my closet – y’all this is no easy feat. Let me tell you, I spent at least an hour just organizing (and purging) all of my work clothes to make room for a few new pieces from Eloquii’s Premier Workwear 9-to-5 kit collection. When I got my hands on the new Premier collection, I knew it was going to be the staples that I built my work wardrobe around. The fabrics are thick enough to be structured for a formal work environment yet silky and breathable to be worn comfortably all day.
Also the cuts are spectacular. The pants hit me at the top of my foot with heels (I’m 5’6″ for reference) and the tapered boot cut feels like a modern twist on a classic shape that I can wear all the time. And, last but not least, this blouse is one of the best blouses I’ve ever had – the sleeve detailing makes me feel like a total BA and that I can take on any executive meeting with ease. My only recommendation on the blouse is to wear a nude colored camisole because it is slightly on the thinner/sheer side and when dressing for a business formal environment, I’m always on the more conservative side.
What do you look for when shopping for business casual or business formal outfits?
