Over the Knee Boots to Celebrate the Holidays

I truly love this time of year with all of the Holiday Parties to attend – I mean it’s another excuse to get all dolled up and to see some of your besties that you haven’t seen in ages. With my travel schedule for work (I travel every Monday to Thursday), I don’t get to attend a ton of events very often, but during the holidays, there are more parties on the weekend (win for my schedule)! This past weekend I wore this fun bell-sleeved dress from Avenue with these gorgeous and oh-so comfortable over the knee boots and felt festive while also being comfy (if you’ve been visiting SGSB for awhile now – thank you – but you also probably know that I love wearing flat-er shoes because when my feet hurt, I become a not-so-nice person).

So, can we have real-talk for a second? I honestly never thought I would be able to rock the OTK trend. I always thought it was so cute, but I was unable to find any that fit my curvy legs. Thank goodness for the curvy brands who loved the over the knee boots trend as well and decided to make some with wider calfs (can I give y’all a hug?). I knew I would love wearing them, but y’all I’m completely obsessed with these boots. I am trying to come up with a bazillion different outfits that they can be worn with.

Anywho….I could probably go on and on about this outfit, but I’m off to go celebrate my last dinner with my Atlanta co-workers. Tomorrow will be my last day on the project I have been working on since July. It’s always so bittersweet. It’s great to complete a project (I’m a Type A personality and checking things off a to-do list is so rewarding), but it also means that I have to leave the people that I have been working with (and forming friendships with) for the past 6 months. *Wow that sounds really dramatic as I re-read it.* Having the constant change is also the exciting part about my job – I just hate saying goodbyes. Does anyone else hate goodbyes? Well, I’m off to celebrate a successful project and reminisce (over a few bottles of wine). I hope y’all have a great Tuesday night!
