Valentine’s Day Cards

Valentine Card

How is it February already? It seems like January just flew by. With Valentine’s Day creeping up on us, I wanted to spend this week sharing some of my V-Day favorites starting with Valentine’s Day cards.

To me, Valentine’s Day is more than just a holiday to celebrate your significant other (although it is fun to). I think it is a holiday to celebrate all of the love that I have in my life – my friends, my family, my dogs, my colleagues, Something Gold, Something Blue’s readers….so, this year I wanted to show my love and appreciation for these people by sending some Valentine’s Day cards with the help of Minted. I always loved Valentine’s Day growing up because I got to swap little cards and candy with my classmates and friends and this year I get to do the same thing!

A big thank you to Minted for partnering with Something Gold, Something Blue to bring you this post. Please see my disclosure policy for more information.

Minted Valentine

I immediately fell in love with this design and because it had such a great message and it was ADORABLE!   I was able to completely customize my card, including adding a message to the recipients, adding a picture (or multiple, if I chose) and customizing the back of the card. When I purchased mine, they were offering free addressing on the envelopes, which I think was the icing on the cake! 1) It took me almost no time to import the addresses into Minted (definitely much less time than it would have taken for me to write them out) and 2) I think the printed addressing looks fantastic!! And the cherry on top is the matching wrap-around address labels. Guys, I seriously could gush about these cards all day, but I think the pictures do them more justice!

Sending Valentine's Day Cards Minted Address Label

Valentine's Day CardThere are many reasons to use Minted, but I wanted to share a few of the reasons I use them for everything from photo cards to business cards and even artwork…First, Minted supports the individual artists – when you create your cards you can see who designed them. Each artist has a profile which includes a bit of info about them and the other designs they have on Minted (here’s the profile of the lady who designed my card).

Another great feature about Minted (that I took advantage of this time) is the opportunity to write a note to the proof reviewer to make changes to the design. In my case, the card originally read “May you have the happiest of Valentine’s Day with all our love.” I really loved this design, but was struggling to pull the trigger because I am an individual sending the card and the grammar was bugging me (*nerd alert*). After designing the rest of the card, I submitted it for review by a Minted designer with a note asking for that statement to be changed. Within 24 hours, I received my proof back and it read perfectly! I don’t know how drastic of changes they will make, but I appreciate that they took the time to change it for me!

Wishing y’all lots of love this Valentine’s Day and throughout the year!

Before I sign off today, I wanted to send a very heartfelt thank you to all of you for your love and support after last week’s blog post. It is always scary to be vulnerable, especially when it’s on the Internet….but, the support that y’all showed me has been tremendous, so thank you! After this outpouring, I am definitely considering writing more “soul-bearing” posts. So thank you all!!
