Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day Look

Date NightValentine’s Day is only a few days away and I wanted to share my favorite outfit to celebrate the holiday!! This would be perfect for a date night or maybe a night on the town with my gal-entine’s! I love getting dressed up to grab drinks with the girls (I mean, any excuse to get dressed up works for me, but I especially loved getting glam-ed up for a night with the girls). When I think of getting dressed up for Valentine’s Day, I think lots of reds and pinks, some glamour and something that I feel confident in! This outfit fits all of those criteria!

Since I don’t have any major plans for this weekend (which I’m totally OK with – I love quieter weekends), I decided I didn’t want to spend too much money on an outfit – aka. time to shop my closet. This has become a recent trend of mine – I love shopping my closet because it helps me to save some moo-lah and to make sure that I am getting use out of all those fabulous pieces I added awhile back. This dress was something I purchased in fall 2014 to wear for the the holiday season. I managed to pull it out once to wear it to a Holiday party, but otherwise, it stayed put until this holiday season when I wore it to the Josh Groban concert. And I decided to re-purpose this outfit for Valentine’s Day!

It has been a bit on the chiller side here in the evening and this blazer is a chic way for me to stay warm. I am really obsessed with these cape/blazer combinations – they make me feel like I am out on the town and not headed to work….and I get to pretend I am Super Woman whenever I want!

And my FAVORITE part of this outfit is my heels! I found these beauties when I was in NYC in December and I could not resist…they are super adorable and comfortable (well, as comfortable as almost 5″ heels can be…)! Since the shoes and cape blazer are both statements, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple and only add my Kendra Scott Elle earrings and a bold red lip (I mean a red lip is simple, right?).

Since this holiday is all about sharing the love, I wanted to take a moment to wish you lots of love and a Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope that you are able to share the weekend with all of your loved ones! Lots of love! Eloquii

Celebrating Valentine's Day with the ones you love (whether romantically or with your girls) is so important. Looking and feeing great is always important. My perfect idea of getting dressed up for Valentine's Day is wearing a gorgeous dress with statement heels. #plussizefashion #plussize #fullfigured

Thank you so much, Anne!! These tights are one of my favorite pairs because they are thicker than most, which is perfect for those cooler days!
