So it’s that time of year again when the Houston weather cannot decide if it’s going to be in the 50s or in the 80s inching towards the 90s. Honestly, we have experienced this all “winter,” but now that the fun spring clothes are starting to hit the stores, I’m wishing it was mid-60s/70s, I could be outside all day and I could be decked out in the fun spring trends (I think we are getting close, y’all).
During awkward weather phase, I like to stock my closet with items that can easily be worn in any temperature range. Cue the lightweight sweaters and jeans. These lighter sweaters, like the one I am wearing from Eloquii, is perfect for this Wint-ring (Winter + Spring….ok, maybe this word won’t start trending – anyone know of a better term to use?) season because the ruffle adds a bit of a girly/spring touch with the long sleeves can keep me warm enough when it cools down (or they can be pushed/rolled up on the warmer days). And, if needed, I can always throw a leather jacket or bomber jacket over this to add a bit of extra warmth. Do you have any tips for dressing this time of year? I would love to hear them in the comments, below!
If you follow me on social media, you may have seen that yesterday wasn’t one of my best days …I have started the process to get my car fixed and I am hoping to put this whole situation behind me soon enough. Accidents happen y’all, it’s frustrating, annoying and can be time consuming, BUT it was also a very humbling experience that has shown me how much I am supported and loved. I cannot even begin to thank all of you for the love, support and concern expressed. As well as the body shop recommendations. I am so humbled by all of the sweet messages and am so thankful to have such an amazing support system. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Lovely sweater! Layering works best for me with Houston’s weather.
Thank you so much, Syretta! Layering is key right now…
cute sweater
Thank you!
What an adorable shirt and those shoes…I’ve been wanting a pair for what seems like ages. Are they as comfy as everyone says?
Thank you so much, Colleen! They are definitely extremely comfortable – I wear them almost every single day and continue to purchase a few different colors so I can swap them out. The leather is so soft and the blue part on the bottom helps me feel like I am walking on clouds. If you have any other questions about them, please let me know – I would be happy to answer them!
I love the clutch!
Thanks so much, Stacy!
Love that girly sweater – so cute!

Thanks so much, Kelsey! Yes, definitely – this sweater is light enough that it can be layered and I won’t die of heat exhaustion, but still comfortable enough to wear on it’s own.
cute shirt with the ruffle. sorry about your car getting hit…ours were hit outside our home, and luckily it did a lot of damage to the drivers car so we were able to call the police bc they were trying to drive away!
b
Thank you! Yes, the damage could have been a whole lot worse and I hate complaining about something like this, because 1) no one was hurt and 2) there could have been a done more damage. But dealing with it all never happens at the “right” time… 😀 I hope y’all were able to get yours fixed easily!
Such a cute look, love the strips!
Thanks so much, Chimee!
Stripes are wonderful. I love the little ruffles too. So cute and unique.
I’m so ready for Spring.

Cute look and what a fun giveaway. Who isn’t under Target’s spell? 🙂 Thanks for making the giveaway possible and for sharing your style with us. 🙂
Thanks so much, Erin! Target always gets me in trouble! I inevitably find items that I love, but don’t necessarily need.
I’m so glad you were not in the car when it got hit and that everyone involved is okay!
Thanks, Michelle! I am so thankful it wasn’t too bad!
I’m sorry that you are going through car troubles girl! Hope it all works out. And I agree with you. Today alone it started off as 52 (cold), but high of 80…who knows how to dress in this up and down weather? I just go with lightweight long-sleeved options like you or dress in layers. This sweater is really cute! I love Eloquii
Thanks, Shasie. I appreciate it!
That sweater is the cutest. Love the twist on the classic nautical striped top!
Thank you so much, Ashley!
