If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you may have noticed that I was in an absolutely stunning location last week for a work retreat. I cannot begin to explain how relaxing and re-rejuvenating the week was, but let’s just say it was a rough Monday this week getting back into the swing of work. While I was out there, the attire was resort casual….hmm….what does that mean for a work function. I decided to go with modest yet comfortable (aka. lots of jean capris and tops). I gave a sneak peak of this outfit on Instagram last week because I could not help but share the gorgeous view from dinner.
The first day of the retreat was spent getting to know some of our employees from the offices across the US while getting started on the curriculum. This sweater was perfect for it retreat because it allowed me to go from day to night without adding extra layers or being too hot during the day. My favorite feature of this sweater is the lace underlay in the back. It’s a little surprise!! This outfit was all about the details! I love these jeans and they immediately caught my eye as I was browsing the Old Navy website. I have, honestly, been super impressed with the styles that they have had recently. And I love that I can get trendy jeans for under $30!! I have found that I have a hard time shopping in the Old Navy store near my house because it often looks like a tornado has hit it. And, inevitably, I will find something I love, but not in my size. So, I have decided to stick to shopping while in my sweats and snuggled at home!
Staying the same color family, I added this cobalt fringe-adorned, suede purse from Kate Spade. This quickly caught my eye and so perfect for this fall!! I’m obsessed and it was perfect for carrying my materials! Then to add a little sparkle, I layered a few gold necklaces, including my monogram….I love how my monogram looks and would probably put it on every item of clothing I own if I could.. 😀
Have any of you been on a work retreat before? Or have you ever gone on vacation and realized how much you needed a break? I am so grateful for this experience because it came at exactly the right time for me! I had a bit of time to reflect on this little bloggity blog and I am so excited for what I have planned for next week on SGSG! I hope y’all have a great weekend!!
