March Madness

Notre Dame March Madness Work OUtfit - Something Gold, Something Blue style blog - What to wear to work to support your sports teams In addition to this holiday weekend, we also are in the thick of March Madness and I am so proud to say that my Irish are still in the madness (sorry, Karen! Backstory: Karen and I were at a blogger brunch on Sunday before the ND v. SFA game and were discussing  who would win. We both were rooting for our alma maters and what a game it turned out to be)! I hope the Irish win tonight in Philly to make it to the Elite 8 (and then on to the Final Four, which is in Houston – it would be so AWESOME to see my Fighting Irish make it to my hometown)!

Since I am a huge Notre Dame sports fan, I wanted to find a way to support my team while at work today!  Notre Dame’s official colors are blue and gold and our unofficial color is green. So really any combination of these colors would work. When I was going through my closet, I saw these green Kady pants from Eloquii and decided to base the rest of my outfit off of it! As y’all know, the Eloquii Kady pants have been my go to work pants because they have a bit of a stretch to them, which makes them extremely comfortable and they are the perfect length for me! To add some blue to the mix, I paired the pants with this gingham button down from Eloquii.

In terms of accessories, I try to keep everything simple for work, so I added by nude wedges and tan tote. For some additional Irish flare/pride, I added a blue and gold shamrock necklace to the mix. It couldn’t be more perfect for a Notre Dame fan! I found it a few years ago on sale (bonus!!), so I can’t link it, but have found a similar blue/gold necklace that I have linked below!

This weekend is pretty busy (aka. exciting) for me – I am rooting on my Irish tonight, seeing Matthew Morrison at the Houston Symphony, celebrating my Mom’s birthday (Happy Birthday Mom!!) and celebrating Easter! It’s going to be a whirlwind, but I am so excited to spend time with my family! I hope you have a fantastic Easter Weekend! (And Go Irish!!)
