Fall-ing for the Lipstick Print Matching Set

Blogging has brought so many amazing opportunities in my life. What I appreciate most about my blog is the amazing support systems that I have experienced both from you fabulous readers and from my fellow blogger babes. When I first started blogging 3 years ago, I never expected it to introduce me to so many amazing women! I am extremely fortunate to live in a big “blogger city” and be able to attend events with my local blogger squad. Last Sunday, I had the honor to a brunch hosted by Julie of Calo’s Closet and Kendra Scott. It was so great to see some of the bloggers I have known for years and be able to meet a few bloggers I had never met before. We chatted about our wins in the blogging world, some of the struggles we face and the new Kendra Scott winter line (which I am absolutely obsessed with y’all) before heading over the Kendra Scott Rice Village store for a little post brunch shopping (I may have done a lot of damage to my credit card – I wasn’t kidding when I said I was obsessed with the winter line. A lot of the necklaces are adjustable in length – such a game changer – you can wear them as a choker or as a long necklace – genius!) while sipping on delicious mimosa from the most adorable mimosa bar.

For this girly mimosa-filled event, I decided to wear this extremely comfortable lipstick print matching set from the Ashley Nell Tipton collection for Boutique+ at JCPenney. This collection has captured my heart because of the gorgeous prints, comfortable and flattering styles and the price point (y’all – I think you can get both pieces of the look for under $50 + an extra 15% off this weekend). And the best part about matching sets is that you can mix and match these pieces depending on the event you are going to. You may have seen this skirt styled with a great T-Shirt from the collection on my Instagram a few weeks ago when I visited Notre Dame (if not, you can view it here). And I am thinking about pairing this skirt with a white button down or black top for work. Maybe add a pair of black tights and a sweater when it starts to cool off! So many outfits… 😀

I hope y’all have a fabulous Friday and weekend! I am can hardly contain myself and don’t know how I will be able to get through work today because I leave for vacation on Sunday!!!!! I have been planning this girl’s getaway with my Mom for the past few months and I am so excited to take a week off to relax and unwind. Make sure to follow along on Instagram (@EmilySGSB) for stories and pictures of my trip. I’ll be revealing my destination on Saturday while packing…

I am also really excited to have a few fabulous posts scheduled here next week, so be sure to sign up for the email newsletter or follow on BlogLovin’ so you don’t miss them! Sending lots of love your way! (And thank you for following SGSB!)

I absolutely adore this lipstick print! Almost ANYTHING lipstick print catches my eye! I also like that the print is on a solid navy background and cut into a simple, flattering dress. I think when a pattern is busy like this it actually HELPS when everything else is ‘toned down’ to a degree! You look so classy and chic in this outfit with the pops of metallic! Very nicely styled girly!
