It’s a Beautiful Day and I Can’t Stop Myself from Smiling

Wow! What a week it has been. I had a great Easter with my family and got to work from Houston on Monday. I can’t explain how nice it was to be able to relax with my family on Easter and not have to pack or run errands on Sunday to prepare for leaving on Monday. It was exactly what I needed to jump start my week! Also, it was great to be in the office on Monday and to see a lot of my co-workers. I am really blessed that I was able to find a company where I love the people I work with. I hardly get to see them with travel so I truly cherish the time I get to spend with them!
I was so excited when I found this top at Nordstrom Rack last week! It is a subtle print, in a great shape, perfect for my spring wardrobe and it was on clearance!! I think it was destiny! hahaha (you can totally laugh at me – I often get WAY too excited about this kind of stuff). I paired it with my black midi skirt from ASOS, a fun statement necklace from J. Crew and a pair of Cole Haan patent heels for the perfect pulled together look required for work.
I truly believe that clothes and makeup can change my mood. Not completely – I mean if it’s a bad day, it’s going to stay that way. But when I feel good about myself, I can tell a difference in my disposition. And this outfit made me feel great and I could tell I was more confident in meetings and was more productive than I normally am. It was an absolutely great day and I like to think my destined purchase helped to make it just that much better!
Have you ever had a day like this? What makes you feel good about yourself?
P.S. Did you like the Michael Buble song reference in the title? I absolutely love that song and have been singing it for weeks. It always puts me in a good mood!
I am linking up with the Trend Spin Link-Up and Funday Monday.
