Holiday Cheer

I can’t believe Christmas is only two days away….where has the time gone? The Holidays are some of my favorite times to spend time with family and friends and to get dressed up. I wore this outfit to the Christmas Symphony concert and dinner with my family a few weeks ago and think it may be my Christmas dinner outfit, as well!
That weekend it was about seventy-five degrees here in Houston and is currently in the low 70s (sorry friends in the North, I don’t mean to rub it in), so the open toe wedges from Tory Burch worked out perfectly. The top from ASOS is super comfortable!!!  It is a great cut for both wearing it with a skirt or with pants and works well both tucked in or hanging loose. I know I will be getting a lot of use out of this black one and I am thinking about investing in a few more in different colors!
In addition to my Sunday outing to the Symphony, the same weekend was packed with two Holiday parties for my company, so I decided to try the “new-to-Houston” Drybar. I have heard great things and was not disappointed. They have a menu to help dictate what style I wanted, which most blow dry bars I have been to do not have. My style stayed for 3 days and looked chic all weekend. If you have a Drybar near by, I would definitely recommend them for a special occasion or even just your weekly blowout.
I am heading to my parents house today to begin the holiday festivities and to (finally) take some time off from work. It has been a busy couple of months and I am excited to have two weeks to relax and prepare for the New Year. I hope that your holidays are filled with happiness and joy! (and maybe a few Christmas cookies!)
Merry Christmas,

I am loving the longer skirt trend and you hit this spot on! You look fabulous! I’m a Houstonian also, so I will have to check out Dry Bar. Happy New Year!

    • Hi Claire!! Thank you so much! I am so excited to (virtually) meet another Houston blogger!! The Dry Bar was great – it probably was my favorite blow dry bar I have been to in Houston. The only issue was navigating the traffic of Uptown Park on a Friday after work, but I would definitley recommend them!

I loved your blog Evolving Lovely, but was unable to leave a comment there, so I wanted to let you know that writing Thank You notes was engrained in me from the time I was little as well. I still have to finish a few this week (oops – I can’t believe I waited this long, my Mom would be disappointed). Like you said “late is better than never”. Thanks again for stopping by!
