Happy St. Patrick’s Day

I LOVE St. Patrick’s Day! I can’t even begin to explain….I have had a special place in my heart for this holiday ever since I was little. My Mom grew up in an Irish Catholic family and I remember eating corned beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread growing up. My love for this holiday only grew deeper when I attended Notre Dame. I was lucky enough to celebrate the holiday on campus twice because the other two years it fell over Spring Break (I am convinced that the University did this on purpose, but most likely, it was just how the calendar fell). The two years that I spent on campus for St. Patty’s day were unlike any other day. You could feel the vibrant and celebratory energy starting in the wee hours of the ‘morn and lasting until the wee hours of the next ‘morn. One of my favorite memories was Sophomore year, the quads were filled with students hanging out and celebrating  because of the Holiday and because it was finally above 50 degrees. Ever since I left college, I still have an excitement and soft spot for St. Patty’s.

This year St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday, so I needed/wanted to figure out a way to wear my green while still being “business casual.” Lucky for me, I ordered this pair of pants from Eloquii during their Cyber Monday sale when they were super discounted. I didn’t really plan this, but I thought the green would be nice to pair with and wasn’t my normal neutral-toned bottom (aka. black). I tried to keep the rest of my outfit more traditional and let the pants speak for themselves, it is St. Patrick’s Day after all.

I hope you all have a blessed St. Patrick’s Day and I’ll leave you with one of my favorite Irish blessings…

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I love, love, love the green pants. I want a pair. You did a great job with the top and allowing the pants to make a statement of their own. You look very polished and festive🍀
