I am a little late on getting this post out (sorry, this girl needs her sleep) because I had such a blast in Delaware celebrating one of my college friend’s wedding to her high school sweetheart this past weekend! It was so great to see her family, my friends from college and some of her friends that I met at the bachelorette party. In my opinion, weddings are so much more fun when you know a good amount of people at the wedding- there are plenty of people to talk to and dance the night away with!!

In addition to all of the wedding festivities, a few of us were able to sneak over to the Dogfish Head brewery for a tour and tasting. It was such a neat experience! I have been to a few smaller breweries in Houston, but this was something else. And the tasting – oh man – I have never thought of myself as a beer drinker. I have always preferred wine or a mixed drink. After tasting a few of these beers, I wished I lived closer so that I could have better access to them. In Texas, we normally get two of their most popular flavors, but I hope to see some of these unique flavors more!

So back to the reason I was in Delaware… I wore this amazing dress to the wedding on Saturday! It was a little chilly, but nothing a little wine could not fix. I am obsessed with the color – it is not quite mint yet it’s not green either! And all curvy girls know how much a peplum can do…. I love this one because it hides a few of my trouble areas (yaknowwhatI’msayin?). What’s even better was that I got this on extreme sale at Nordstrom about six months ago! Here’s the story and one of the ways that I try to save money on my must haves:  I saw this in the store and fell in love with it, but my wallet did not feel the same way, so when I got home, I went online and placed it in my cart while signed in to my account. You know how stores will email you when you forget things in your cart…well, about two weeks later, I opened my inbox and there it was – my dress 60% off!! I quickly purchased it and patiently waited for it to arrive (which seemed like forever…clearly I wasn’t that patient). When it arrived, it fit like a glove! It was totally meant to be!

Now I do have to make one confession – I changed out of my nude Cole Haan pumps for some comfy flats for the reception. As much as I love my pumps, I just knew that they were not going to last through my boogie night. I had a blast dancing away and was extremely comfortable in my flats! What else could a girl ask for – I was with some of my best friends, I got to dress up, dance the night away and, most of all, celebrate the next chapter for the newlyweds (Congrats!)!

P.S. I hope y’all aren’t sick of my wedding outfit picks. I’m sure you thought, gosh, Emily, not another wedding post. I’ve already seen this one and this one….please no more, well, you are in luck! My next wedding to celebrate is in September, so until then…the Going to the Chapel series will be on hiatus!
