If you saw my blog post a couple of weeks ago, you’ll know that I have slight obsession with anything and everything gingham. Over last week’s 4th of July holiday, I was off from work, so I was able to spend the days in as much gingham as I could possibly imagine. It was a dream…hehe. I’m being a bit hyperbolic here…but, seriously, a week off was so needed to recharge and just get my life in order. I’m not sure where the first half of 2018 went (well, I kind of know – I spent almost 80 nights in hotel rooms + more at family and friend’s houses while traveling), but this past week helped me to re-organize my life and plan for this second half of the year 🙂
While I was off for the week, I had the chance to wear WHATEVER I wanted for 10 days!! It was glorious! One of my favorite outfits I wore last week was centered around this fun off the shoulder gingham dress from Simply Be’s Festival collection. Not only is the dress in my favorite print, but the fabric is extremely lightweight, making it perfect for a day in Houston (or going to your favorite outdoor festival). Plus, the sleeves have tassels – I’m seriously contemplating if they designed this dress specifically for me…
Paired with my favorite summer sandals, a pair of white earrings, sunnies and a small crossbody bag, I was wore this dress from lunch with my Mom and to shopping and got so many compliments on how cute I looked. Given the fabric and cut of the dress, I never felt like the dress was sticking to me or that I was going to overheat.
