Enjoying the Summer Sun

Wow, it has been a long time since I have really sat down to write a post. I sure did miss it, but I am glad that I took the time to focus on my career and myself. The month of June was crazy at work, but hopefully it will be a little calmer for a bit so I can enjoy the beautiful summer sun and spend more time with family and friends. 
The temperatures here in Houston have been scorching and extremely humid, so I have been trying to wear light breathable fabrics like cotton. I also have been gravitating towards vibrant colors. This past weekend while running some errands, I threw on a cotton maxi skirt, my new favorite t-shirt from Anthropologie and a few delicate pieces of jewelry to round out the look. 
Have you ever had a vacation that was so amazing, you wish you could go back and maybe even live there? I was so fortunate to be able to visit Capri, Italy about 8 years ago and immediately fell in love – the color of the water is a beautiful blue and the island, itself, is lush green. I hope one day to make it back to the luxurious island – but, until then, I can remember my wonderful time there when I wear this shirt!
