Sorry I have been a little MIA the past week. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (emilysgsb), you may have seen some pics from my FANTASTIC trip to New York City! I am currently working on some re-cap posts to tell you all about my Quarter Life Birthday Bash Trip (yup, I’m turning 25 at the end of the month)!! But, to give you a sneak peek into the trip, I am sharing this amazing dress I wore to see the Broadway show, Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the Belasco Theater last Saturday.

The show was amazing! It is an extremely small cast (only 2 actors and 5 members in the band), but wow – what an amazing production!!! To give you a quick overview, it is about a rocker (Hedwig – played by Darren Criss) who is in love with a celebrity rockstar and follows him around the country. Throughout the show, Hedwig explains more of her life to the audience including how she came to the United States and what the angry inch is all about…I found the show to be quick witted and improvisational while exploring the deep questions commonly asked – what is love? do I have a soul mate? and how do I get over this heartbreak? It is by far, one of the more thought provoking shows I have seen in a long time and I was so fortunate to be able to see it while in NYC and with a great cast!

This dress is a midi-length, which I love. I have plenty of maxi dresses, but this length is still comfortable with a lot of fun touches, including the lattice at the bottom! Another neat feature of the dress is that you can adjust the halter neckline by adjusting the ties at the top – making for the perfect fit! To add the cherry on top of the already amazing dress (sundae), is the adorable colors and fun print. I am easily obsessed with this dress and know that it will be a staple in this summer’s wardrobe. And it just went on sale at Anthro – it’s really hard to beat this price for a great dress!

I hope y’all have had a great start to June!! I’m looking forward to sharing more of my trip and summer fashion the next few weeks!Anthropologie Midi DressHedwig and the Angry InchKendra Scott accessories Sam Edelman heels Halter Dress Anthropologie Dress Claire V Clutch

This piece was definitely a good investment for me! 😀 I have worn it to multiple dinners with friends and to the theater (like I mentioned in the post)! I am considering wearing it to a bridal shower brunch on Saturday – what do you think? Is it appropriate? Thanks, Emily
