Sorry that this post is up later today than I expected. I was planning to write this post last night and have it ready for y’all first thing this morning, but unfortunately, I ended up getting my second migraine in three days last night and I didn’t have much left in my tank after completing all my responsibilities to get this bad boy ready to be published.
I started getting migraines about 2.5 years ago and we still haven’t been able to pinpoint if I have a trigger or not, but I have found eliminating certain foods, restricting my caffeine intake to one cup of coffee a day and staying consistent with my workouts has helped to cut back the amount that I get. I’m not exactly sure why these two migraines decided to surface the past few days, because I haven’t changed much in my routine recently, except to cut back on the amount of animal protein I was consuming. I am considering going to a plant-centered diet, so I’ve decided to try to eat more plant-based meals (I’m sure this could be a post of it’s own and I’m still testing the waters and doing more research on it, so we’ll save this for another time). Other than that adjustment, I have kept my same workout routine and sleep schedule and my stress levels have been about the same. So who knows? As much as I would love never to get a migraine again, they definitely humble me and remind me that I need to slow down and reevaluate what my body needs. They also have a not so gentle way of helping me prioritize my life – determining what are the things that have to get done versus the things that can be given a little more time to get completed. Anywho, enough about being down and out for the count, let’s talk about this adorable denim dress…
I have been living in this dress the past couple of months. I’ve worn it to so many events, including a blog conference and to galavant around NYC (although I did wear work out leggings underneath, because it was freezing cold and I didn’t quite pack appropriately) with over the knee boots. Needless to say this denim dress is extremely versatile and I am loving wearing it in the Houston Spring weather with these adorable floral heels that are under $60 right now and come in a few other colors (although the the other colors don’t have the flowers) (p.s. I don’t know if you are a Jane the Virgin fan, but I spotted these heels on the show a few weeks ago). I have even worn it with a great pair of sneakers to run errands in. I believe this exact dress is now sold out (boo), but I’ve linked some of my other favorite ones for this season below. And the best part is, denim works in almost any season (although I’m not sure I’ll be wearing this in the 100+ degree Houston summer heat, but I could) and I know that I will be pulling it out again and again.
I hope y’all have a fantastic week! If you aren’t already, I would love for you to follow me on Pinterest to see some of the things that are currently inspiring me this Spring.

Denim dress is a perfect investment for women who want to keep things cool, summery chic and fun! I think denim dress is an ideal choice for keeping things individual. Plus, it can be dressed up or down, layered or worn by itself. Love it! I also wanted to share with you some ideas about denim dresses, I made a blog post about them, check it: http://onlywardrobe.com/womens-fashion/denim-dresses-awesome-looks-to-try-this-year/ Hope these ideas can be helpful in creating new looks in nearest future.
