Bundled with a Blanket Scarf

Aerie Blanket Scarf

It finally started to cool down here in Houston! Yay!! I mean, we were in the low 50s the past couple of days, which has been great weather to bust out the fall gear (finally)! Which means I was able to pull out some of my sweaters, boots and a cozy blanket scarf without overheating!

Blanket ScarfOn Black Friday, I wore this outfit to run some errands and then to a friend’s house for dinner (and pictures – thanks for being my fantastic photography team!). The scarf was perfect for keeping me warm without having to carry a jacket. That has to be one of the hardest decisions for me during the fall/winter – do I take a jacket with me to be in the warm building and then carry it around or brave the walk. I know, I know, #firstworldproblems….in Houston, I can usually manage without a coat going into the store. This blanket scarf is super soft and can be worn as a cape or worn as a traditional scarf like I have it styled here. If you are looking for great ways to wear your blanket scarf, check out Kelly’s post on how to tie them! It helped me figure this one out…. 😀

Paired with a light sweater and skinny jeans, this outfit is perfect for daytime. I added some fun accessories including these leopard booties and my periwinkle Kendra Scott earrings for dinner.

Old Navy Sweater

I decided to go with a green lace romper….what’s your go-to Holiday party outfit this year? Make sure to follow along on Instagram (@EmilySGSB) to see a sneak peak of my look tonight! A big thank you to Aerie  for providing this scarf for me to experience in exchange for a review. All opinions are 100% my own and I would not recommend a product I did not fully support!

  1. Nice and comfy look indeed! I’d really like such a scarf myself, but most of all I liked your shoes, they make the whole outfit pop.

Thank you for this idea, I know my mom would love the leopard as this season’s gift…and she always seems to be cold (87 years old)
