So, I haven’t been feeling the greatest the past couple of weeks, which is why I’ve been a bit quieter on here and on my social media accounts. I’m sorry to have been MIA, but once I finish the work day, I’m so exhausted, I can barely manage to eat dinner before passing out. I’ve been battling an upper respiratory infection that seems to be lingering and the meds have only made a slight dent in how I’m feeling. Unfortunately, something had to give these past few weeks and the blog just happened to be that this time around. I’m going to try and do my best to be back and posting regularly next week, especially since it’s almost the holidays and there are so many fun things to share with all of you! But, thank you for sticking with me through this – y’all’s support means absolutely everything to me.
On to one of my favorite outfits of the fall…this brocade skirt has literally been what I’ve been reaching for whenever I need a casual, yet polished look. I’ve worn it while galavanting around NYC, to work and to the theater this past Sunday where we saw Jimmy Buffet’s new musical, Escape to Margaritaville, before it hits Broadway in 2018. Because of all of the colors, this skirt can easily be paired with a ton of different options. For the warmer weather, I pair it with a black and white striped cotton shirt. But since the weather has been cooler here in Houston, a statement sleeve sweater makes this skirt look a bit more casual.
Adding a few statement accessories, including a pearl embellished bag and metallic sneakers makes this outfit casual and out together – perfect for my plans this weekend. 😀 Honestly, I don’t have a ton planned – I’m trying to get back into the gym after this illness, do some laundry and grab some bites with friends. It’s one of those weekends without a ton of scheduled activities, but I’m sure it will be amazing!
I hope y’all have a fantastic weekend! See you on Monday!
