I was compensated by Gwynnie Bee to style an item I received from my subscription in this post and I am excited and honored to be able to share one of my favorite brands with all of you through this partnership. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting me and the brands that make Something Gold, Something Blue possible. Honestly, if you would have asked me five years ago if I would ever have rocked a jumpsuit, I would have told you, “nope, I don’t think it will be flattering on my body type.” Since then, I’ve become more adventurous in the items I choose to wear and I am so thankful I have, because I have now tried so many jumpsuits (older posts here, here, here and here) and totally wish I could wear them everywhere! I now know that it is so important in finding the right cut for your body type and the right fabric. For me, this means, I need one that has a defined waist to give me some shape, has a bit of a larger leg to accommodate my muscular legs (thanks to SoulCycle and barre) and is made a of a slightly thicker material to help me feel supported and comfortable throughout the day. For me, I also prefer to wear tops that are not a v-neck because of my smaller chest.
When I first saw this fun black and white jumpsuit on the Gwynnie Bee website, I went back and forth about including it in my virtual closet because I honestly had no idea how it would work with my body. The powers that be (and my friends at Gwynnie Bee) absolutely knew better than me when they sent this item. It is by far one of my favorite items I have ever received from Gywnnie Bee! It makes me feel so chic and it is perfect for a million different events (although, I’m still not sure I can wear it to my job… trust me, I’ve wanted to and put it on, but ultimately decided that it wasn’t appropriate for my business casual corporate environment).
I think I ended up wearing this jumpsuit (out of the house) twice before returning it to Gwynnie Bee. I am 95% certain I am going to regret doing that, but that’s the beauty with their Netflix-like subscription service, I can always re-request or “closet” it again and hope that I can wear it to another event. In the mean time, I will be rocking some of the new dresses that should be arriving this weekend. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!! And be sure to follow along on Instagram (@EmilySGSB) for a behind the scenes look at my beach vacation to Mexico next week!!! And if you are interested in what I am taking with me, you can shop almost everything I am taking with me, herebe! Hasta luego, amigos.
