A Work of Art

Happy Saturday Y’all!! I am currently cozied up in my bed with some coffee excited for the day to come! This week has been a crazy one, but I am excited to be starting my stay-cation/vacation this weekend! Last night, I grabbed some fro-yo with some of the Houston Fashion Bloggers. I was my first event being a part of the group and it was so great to see some friendly faces and meet some new blogger babes! Today, I am off to draft my fantasy football league with some bloggers I have met through the Thrive conference and events here in Houston (thanks for hosting Bree). So, team names are extremely important for this and I am struggling. I am thinking It’s a Hard Gronk Life or Gronkey Kong or Watt Me Whip, Watt me Nae Nae….suggestions are welcome!! This is a little sneak peak of what I will be wearing to the draft….

This dress quickly caught my eye on a trip to Anthropologie a couple of months ago. It still carried a hefty price tag and as much as I loved it, it was not in the cards then. Lucky for me, I was there during a sale of the sale and found this dress for a fraction of the price! I am so glad that I added it to my closet, because it is so versatile. I wear it to run errands, hang out with friends and draft my fantasy football team :D, but it is also perfect for Happy Hour or dinner during Houston Restaurant Weeks. Besides the amazing print, one of my favorite things about the dress is the back. I am not exactly sure of the technical terms, but I love how it has a flutter sleeve and almost mini-cape, which I have not seen often!

Because this dress is so unique, I feel like it does not need loud accessories. So I kept it simple, my Me Too sandals, some Kendra Scott earrings and my Margaret Elizabeth bracelet which I purchased from one of my RocksBox. And to top it off, I added my Old Navy bucket bag!! I have been loving Old Navy’s new designs – they are so adorable, the price point is fantastic and they have sizes that work for me!
